Online, real-time simultaneous measurement of slurry particle size, size distribution, and pulp density

(2)Measurement method
Multi-frequency ultrasonic attenuation

Size measurement: the largest particle is not more than 1mm,P80 is for the 295 to 25 micron distribution
Density measurement: percentage density of pulp weight is 4~60%.

Particle size measurement precision: absolute error is less than 1.0ï¼…(1σ);
Density detection precision: absolute error is less than 1.0%(1σ);

(5)Multi-flow channel applications
Sample channels: 1~3.
Measurement cycle: automatic, automatically cycles according to user-defined sequence
Manual, select the measurement from the front panel;
Remote control, DCS control system computer on-site can choose 1, 2, 3 flow channel through a signal switch connected to the particle size monitor
Flow channel measurement cycle: each flow channel is 1 to 255 minutes (user-selectable); the typical system cycle time for 2 or 3 flow channel is 180-300 second.

(9)Calibration method
Particle size and density analysis results(density analysis: dry weighting method; particle size analysis:sieving method) for calibration samples in laboratory are calibrated with attenuation parameters measured by instruments

(10)Correction method
Programmable cycle of automatic standard water measurement provides accurate zero tracking for ultrasonic attenuation measurement, which can make the instrument automatically correct electronic single drift and measurement drift caused by ultrasonic transducer surface deposition; pulp temperature measurement can be used for temperature correction. The above measures ensure high accuracy and long-term stability of density and particle size measurement.

(11)Data connection
Connect the DCS control system through the following ways:
4--20m A electrical isolation simulation current loop(each flow channels 4 ways,12 bit resolution, can be used to transmit density measurement values and three size fraction),connects to the DCS control system through a coated twisted pair instrument cable; the longest is up to 1000 meters. Along with 4-20m a simulation current loop signal for each flow channel, provides a pair of switch signals (one out, one in) as the simple contact signal between the DCS system and the particle size monitor ,the signal can be used as an effective instruction for showing the flow channel measurement data.
RS-485 serial links---particle size, alarm. It supports Modbus RTU protocol point to point connection.
