. Brief introduction 
medium temperature
α-amylase preparation is produced by submerged fermentation of Bacillus subtills and extraction with modern technique.  

2. Function and characteristics 
medium temperature
α-amylase can hydrolyzeα*1,4 glycosidic bond of the starch. Starch molecule is randomly hydrolyzed into short dextrin chain in different length and small amount of low molecular weight sugars. Both amylose and amplopectin can be randomly hydrolyzed, resulting in the rapid decrease of the viscosity of starch solution. During the process, the starch is to be liquefied, so the medium temperatureα-amylase is also called liquefying enzyme.

μ/ml (1μ/g) is defined as the amount of enzyme in 1ml( 1g ) enzyme solution to liquefy 1g soluble starch per hour at pH6.0 and *0℃

4. Application conditions 
Optimal pH: 6.0 - 6.5                                          Effective pH: 6.0 - 7.0
Optimal temperature: *0℃- *0℃                    Effective temperature: *0℃- *0℃
It will lose activities badly when pH is below 5.0. When the temperature is between *0 and *0℃, the reaction rate increases with the rise of the temperature. Meanwhile the activity loss also increases. It can be used in the liquefying process at temperature up to *0℃. The increase in the concentration of starch improves the stability of enzyme activity. Calcium ion can improve the thermostabality of the enzyme.

5. Package and storage 
1.Package: liquid products are packed with *5 kg non-toxic plastic barrel or ***0kg IBC.
Powder products are packed with film bag ( 2 kg /bag) as inner wrapper and carton as outside wrapper, and net  weight of each carton is *0 kg .
2.Storage: with the best efforts to avoid insolation and high temperature during the transportation and storage. Keep the environment clean and cool. And it is better to store at low temperature (environmental temperature below *5℃).     Stored at *5℃ for six months or at 5℃ for one year, the enzyme activity is not less than *0% of the labeled value. 

6. Application scope 
medium temperature
α-amylase is widely used in liquefaction process in the production of starch sugar, alcohol, beer, monosodium glutamate and in other fermentation industry, and the desizing of textile, printing and dyeing. When this product is used in alcohol, citric acid, fermentation industry and other food processing, the dosage and application condition of the enzyme could be decided through experiments according to its characteristics.
