Flood Warning System Overview
The Flood Warning System is made up of three components ; A range of flood sensors which pass their status using a low power radio transmitter, a data hub which gathers the data from multiple probes, filters alarms then sends them to the final component, a web site which displays the status of the various sensors and data hubs.

Flood Sensors The Flood Warning System uses a series of Flood Detecting Bollards placed strategically around the site to be protected. As flood levels rise, the level is reported back in real time to a web site, which can then raise alarms by E-Mail and SMS messaging.
Flood Warning Web Site With web based information of the flooding event available anyone with web access and the correct passwords all parties can have real time updates of the level of the flood. Site owners can implement evacuation plans, property owners can pack up valuables ready for evacuation, and emergency services can be on hand to help. The web site can be configured to raise alarms by E-mail and/or SMS Text directly to those affected most. Local Sirens can be triggered as the level increases. E-mail Addresses and SMS Text Numbers are managed through the web site, with trigger levels from specific Flood Sensing Bollards raising the Alarm for each. Alarm levels are displayed in tabular form and on a map to pinpoint the area of threat. Alarms are shown in a simple Green/Amber/Red threat level so that the level of warning is immediately clear.
