Accuvis’s Genomic DNA Isolation Kit is designed for the rapid preparation of genomic DNA from various tissue samples, cultured cells or bodily fluids. Purification is based on spin column chromatography using Accuvis’s proprietary resin as the separation matrix.

Briefly, the cells are lysed and the released genomic DNA is bound to Accuvis's column in the presence of Binding Buffer(BIND). Under these conditions only the genomic DNA will bind to Accuvis's resin while most of the contaminating RNA and cellular proteinaceous components are removed in the flowthrough.  The bound DNA is then washed to remove any remaining impurities (WASH).  Lastly, the purified genomic DNA is eluted into ******0 µL of the provided Elution Buffer or water (ELUTE).  Please see procedure flowchart to the right. 

The Genomic DNA Isolation Kit allows for the isolation of genomic DNA from various types of animal tissues or cell samples. In addition, a protocol is also provided for the purification of viral DNA. Typical yields of genomic DNA will vary depending on the sample being processed. Preparation time for a single sample is approximately *0 minutes, and each kit contains sufficient materials for *0 preparations. The purified genomic DNA is fully digestible with all restriction enzymes tested, and is completely compatible with PCR and Southern Blot analysis.
