In Steel Industry it is mainly used for binding minerals directed to blast furnaces. In Building Constructions it is used, for its chemical-physics characteristics of binder, as aggreging agent of sands or of various aggregates materials. In the Industry of Lime Paint, as milk of lime or aid of various pigmentations. In the constructions of Roads, Ports, Airports, Railroads as stabilizing agent of the underlying grounds through a simple mixing and compaction of the aggregates, especially if they clayey. In Ecology and Environment it is used for the removal of sulphides on the flue gas, in the wastewaters clarification and in waters (food using) potabilization treatment. In Agriculture as soil conditioner is used to neutralize acidity of the acid soil, as bactericidal for rural environments disinfestation, breeding barns, cultivations generally and in the Biological Agriculture. It is an essential element in sugar production.
