In order to increase the capacity, during the solid conveying stage we are likely to use such a screw structure with deeper groove depth, longer screw pitch, higher rotary speed, less die pressure and lower extruding temperature. But higher rotary speed is accompanied with faster conveying which negatively affects melting. We are also likely to seek for better dispersion of each ingredient, so kneader blocks are introduced into the screw configuration. These kneading elements provide better compounding, but as well as higher temperature and higher shearing.
