ACR**2 NFC Contactless Smart Card Reader - the World’s First NFC Card Reader compliant to CCID Standard The ACR**2 is a PC-linked contactless smart card reader/writer developed on the *3.*6MHz Contactless (RFID) Technology and followed the ISO/IEC****2 Standard for Near Field Communication (NFC), supporting not only Mifare® ISO ****3 A and B cards but also NFC and FeliCa contactless technologies. The ACR**2 is a USB Plug and Play device with CCID compliance. It is also PC/SC compliant which allows interoperability for different applications development. It is ideal for both secure personal identity verification and online micro-payment transactions. Typical applications of the ACR**2 reader include access control, e-payment, e-ticketing for events and mass transit, toll road fare collection and network authentication. By making use of up to **4 Kbps for NFC Tag access and full USB speed of up to *2 Mbps, the ACR**2 can read and write faster and more efficiently. The proximity operating distance of ACR**2 is up to 5 cm, depending on the type of contactless tag in use. Operating distance can be extended on request by adding an RF boaster, so the ACR**2 is suitable for logistics and supply chain management. In order to increase the security level, the ACR**2 can be optionally integrated with an ISO*****3 SAM slot. In addition, the ACR**2 is available in module form for easy integration into bigger machines, like POS terminals, physical access devices and vending machines.
