Mas Des Barres

The Mas des Barres is located in Maussane les Alpilles in Provence. It dates from ***4 and has always had an olive-growing activity since its creation.
The Mas is located on the southern slope of the Alpilles on clay-limestone soil and extends over 7 hectares classified as AOP Valle des Baux de Provence. The olive grove is mainly made up of Grossanes, Aglandau and Salonenque.
In ***0, the Mas was taken over by Isabelle and Paul Dardel, 2 lovers of Provence who decided to wake up the sleeping beauty by relaunching the olive-growing activity (modernization of the facilities, planting of 2 additional hectares) and by renovating the Mas in order to to develop a tourist activity centered on olive oil from the Baux valley.

In ***4, the International Olive Oil Committee awarded it the title of best olive oil in the world. In ***3, international recognition materialized when Mas des Barres Olive Oil was recognized as the Best Olive Oil in the World in New York.
In ***2 we obtained the gold medal at the Concours Gnral Agricole de Paris for our green fruity oil AOP Valle des Baux de Provence.
