MODISON was founded in ***5, by Mr. G.L. Modi, for trading in tool steels and export of engineering and general merchandise. In ***5, the first manufacturing facility for refining Silver was established in Mumbai (the erstwhile Bombay). The Company started exporting large quantities of refined Silver to renowned Banks and Dealers in Europe and USA. MODISON was instrumental in establishing `**9€™ Good Delivery Silver Bars in India for bullion trading. Realizing the vast potential for Electrical Contact materials for Switchgear Industry, facilities were added to set up manufacture of Silver and Silver Alloy wires, plates, strips, solid / bimetal contacts. The need for a sound technical R&D back-up led to a Technical Collaboration with M/s. DUDUCO KG, Pforzheim, Germany, a world renowned manufacturer of contact materials, way back in ***3. The collaboration lasted until ***6, during which MODISON developed many hi-tech products, generally imported by Indian Switchgear industry that time. Today, MODISON has a strong R&D team within the organization, confident of developing practically any type of Electrical Contact. With 3 Factories, all situated in the western part of India, one each in Mumbai, Vapi and Silvassa, employing over **0 skilled personnel, MODISON is manufacturing world class electrical contact materials for all Voltage and Current ratings. Modern machineries like Electron Beam Welding machine, VIM Furnaces, CNC Machining Centers, Silver plating plant etc., are used for producing Extruded Sections, Profiles, Contact Assemblies using refined Silver and semis like Oxygen Free Copper, Copper Chromium Zirconium and Silver Alloys. With all the Factories conforming to ISO:***1, MODISON have embarked upon themselves a motto to meet and exceed Customer expectations in terms of quality and timely delivery at an economical price, thus giving the Customer the ultimate satisfaction of value for money.
