Our History
In Tunisia, the Fouta means the cloth used for the bathroom. The
weavers are necessarily men indeed, the looms semiautomatic require
great physical strength. Women do work finishes fringes. Woven in
high quality cotton, the Fouta is soft, thin and lightweight.
Multiple uses of the Fouta
Available in various sizes, the traditional fouta measures 1
meter to 2. Many colors are available, you find single colored
foutas, other has stripes.there is also two options in hand weaving
either flat or honeycomb.
No doubt, fouta perfectly replaces the traditional terry towel,
often heavy. Fouta is used as well for beach or pool,
it can be also used as sarong, as you can easily wrap it. you can
also dry your hair, with a smaller one. Another
advantage is the Fouta is that it dries quickly, and
the honeycomb is more absorbent than the flat one.
