In the process of veneer peeling for manufacture of plywood, lumbercores of diameter represent more than *0% of the logs in plywood manufacturing industries. To reduce the loss and encourage efficiency of the logs , the lumbercores are converted into blockboard.The suitability of using palm oil trunk in the furniture industry was presented. The sample of palm oil trunk for mechanical test: Seven tests were conducted in an effort to determine some of the mechnical properties that would be interest to an engineer in the design stage of wood furniture. Moisture content, weight and specific gravity (TIS *******6). Test sample were milled to *0mmx *0mmx *0mm, dried in the kiln at **5ºc for *4 hrs to reduce moisture content to a standard *0%**2% . The moisture content was measured using a moisure meter ( Testo **6).
