Description
MCD means Micro Chamber Doctor, and this is a method of
contour coating among contact coating techniques, where a D-bar is
brought into contact with the substrate to coat the solution.
It involves applying a low-viscosity polymer coating
solution, and as the solution is drawn by the bar, it rapidly and
easily achieves film deposition.
The system allows for thickness prediction in the wet state,
and the coating of the film progresses through a straightforward
process. Due to the nature of the process, it is easily applicable
to Roll-to-Roll equipment, enabling cost-effective mass
production.
