Elevations within the Green Fountain Tea Estate range from 1,**0 to 1,**0 meters. In Chinese tea community, the term High Mountain Tea is defined as tea grown at an elevation ranging from 1,**0 to 2,**0 meters. Generally, the higher the altitude is, the better the flavor of the tea tastes. One of the main habitats of such high elevation is featured with large day/night temperature difference. High temperature and sufficient sunshine in the day time improve the photosynthetic capacity and nutritional status of tea trees. In the evening, tea leaves breath-holes are closed down and their breathe function slows down due to the low temperature. Such natural conditions enable the tea tree to grow slowly and accumulate extraordinary amount of fragrant biomolecules.
