The rich variety of modes offered by the ACM**2 enables you to adjust the settings individually to each patient. One of the available modes, NIPPV (Noninvasive Positive Pressure Ventilation), is especially useful during the weaning process since it can serve to progressively reduce the intubation rate. Please note that despite the high weaning rate of the NIPPV mode the success of weaning is lessened if any leakage occurs.
The Inspiratory Hold OptionThis device is equipped with the inspiratory hold option that can keep the air in the patients lungs for a short period of time. This option allows you to calculate the plateau airway pressure and clear out the accumulated phlegm while making your patient more comfortable and reducing the risk of spreading an infection.
