Description
We Have Azobe round logs .
Dear sir.
Thanks for the request to purchase timbers from our Company
through
Globalwood.org (CAMEROON GLOBALWOOD) is a timber
company set up in Cameroon, registered with the profession
and
operating in strict observance of the regulation, the environment
and
the interests of the village communities.
CAMEROON GLOBALWOOD (CGW ) has settled in Cameron since *1/*7/*6
and
has been in the timber profession since February ***2. ( Decree
N°**5/CAB/PM of *5/*2/*2 )
Its main activity is the processing of logs timber into finished
products
intended for the market overseas where its principal clients
resides.
The company's Head Office is at the KUMBA, sawmill in KUMBA .
Since *1/*7/*2 CGW has also been exploiting the Kumba sawmill
(in
the South-West Province ) which remains the property of CGW .
In order to ensure the supplying of its plants, CGW has
exploited
several sales of timber LUMBER AND LOGS in partnership with
other
companies or in its own name, after obtaining its agreement; this
was
carried out in the strictest observance of the regulation, the
environment and the interests of the village communities.
Conscious of the need for exploiting the forest in a sustainable
way,
and eager to quickly reach/obtain an eco-certification of its
production, the managers of CAMEROON GLOBALWOOD have always wished
to
obtain a timber
exploitation in the permanent forest field. This has become
effective
, through the transfer of a forest concession ( FMU *0.**4) of
**5,**0
ha (Decision N° ****7/D/MINEF/DF/SDEFF/SAG of *1/*7/*4 ).
Certification, which constitutes the ultimate stage of
management,
should make it possible for CGW to Working at CGW exploit a
more
significant variety of trees, some of which have certainly never
been
touched. This would imply in such cases the processing of a
certain
quality of timber (from hard to half-hard) in substitution
for/in
addition to some
traditional species ( CIPO,BUBINGA, PADOUK, TALI ,
MAHOGANY,AZOBE,IROKO , SAPELLI , AYOUS, EKOP BELI,
BILINGA,WENGE ,
OKAN etc...)
Tests are currently under way and it is possible to affirm as of
now
that there are no technical obstacles concerning the use of
these
species known as secondary as far as the manufacture of products
is
concerned, and that the only decisive argument for the informed
consumer is the presence of a label certifying responsible and
sustainable management of the exploited forest.
