Carbon fiber, alternatively graphite fiber or CF, is a material consisting of fibers about 510 μm in diameter and composed mostly of carbon atoms.

       To produce carbon fiber, the carbon atoms are bonded together in crystals that are more or less aligned parallel to the long axis of the fiber as the crystal alignment gives the fiber high strength-to-volume ratio (making it strong for its size). Several thousand carbon fibers are bundled together to form a tow, which may be used by itself or woven into a fabric.

 Carbon fiber properties

• High stiffness, the shape and weight of components are not changed after reinforcement  
• High tensile strength,  The reinforcement effect of 1 layer carbon plate is equivalent to 4~8 layers carbon cloth
• Low weight,  easy to operate and not require large-scale machinery equipments
• High chemical resistance,  the visual inspection is easy to carry out after construction.
• High temperature tolerance 
• Low thermal expansion

• When encounter the flat plate of the middle beam or wall ,just to cut through the holes which can let carbon fiber plate pass, the reinforcement effect will be improved more.

       All properties make them very popular in aerospace, civil engineering, military, and motorsports, along with other competition sports. However, they are relatively expensive when compared to similar fibers, such as glass fibers or plastic fibers.
