Styrene Butadiene Styrene (SBS)

SBS possesses the advantages of both rubber and plastic.

Styrene Butadiene Styrene (SBS) Properties:
SBS is based on polystyrene for the both ends of the end of the paragraph to the middle of polybutadiene as a linear elastic three-block copolymer embedded.
     SBS has a similar unsaturated rubber and double bond, and therefore good flexibility, but the anti-aging, heat resistance, temperature, weather is poor.
     SBS used in toughened ABS, PS, as modified elastomer material, shoe industry, such as waterproofing membrane.
The material can be modified, to make it more suitable for the product it will be used for.
It is green,non-toxic ,up to food grade,consistent with FDA,SGS,ROHS,EN*1 test standards.
It has plasticity as other plastic and has elasticity as rubber,so it has a wild use at many feild.

Appearance of white or yellowish porous particles of rod or wafer shape. It process the advantages of both rubber and plastic with excellent low temperature endurance, ventilatiing and wet-and-slipping resistance.

higher polymer modification, adhesives, shoes making and bitumen modification.

1. TPE compound
TPE of A***5 shore can be produced through mixing CapStymer SEBS with polypropylene, naphthene oil, hydrogenated naphthene oil, white oil etc. Such elastomers have excellent surface quality, weather fastness and aging resistance. It is extensively used for soft material such as handles, stationery, toys, handgrips of sports equipment, sealing strip, wires and cables, toothbrush stem and other wrap material.
2. Polymer compatilizer and modifier
CapStymer SEBS can be modified or co-mixed with PA6, PC, PPO, PET, PBT and PP to be used as compatilizer for plastic co-mixing. It also can be used as the compatilizer for engineering plastics, such as for PE and PS.
3. Cables and wires
CapStymer SEBS blended with PP, White oil and flame resistant can be used to produce the coat of wires and cables.
4. Adhesives and sealants
CapStymer SEBS combined with petroleum resin such as C5 can be used to produce high-grade adhesives and sealants.
