Giant Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) is a large, herbaceous
perennial plant, native to eastern Asia in Japan, China and Korea.
In North America and Europe the species is very successful and has
been classified as an invasive species in several countries.
Resveratrol is found in the skin of red grapes and in other fruits.
Red wine contains very little of it, it is sold as a nutritional
supplement derived primarily from Giant Knotweed's root.
