Add coloring, if you desire, to your fondant before using it with a mold.  And then let your fondant drop to room temperature, ensure the fondant pliable before molding it. If using a rolled fondant mold, roll out your fondant to 1/4 inch thickness, and then lift off fondant and use it immediately for decoration.
