Typically covered in a smooth film that is hard wearing, tough, waterproof and scratch resistant, melamine faced plywoods are used extensively in the manufacture of decorative furniture, kitchens & toys and installations such as shopfitting, workshops & vehicles.
The coating has exceptionally good colour stability - even in exterior applications - and good chemical resistance. Many household detergents can therefore be used safely on the surface, thus making it very easy to keep clean.
Most usually these panels are supplied in the form of white melamine faced birch plywood - with a smooth white film bonded onto an exterior bonded birch plywood core - but other colours, woodgrains & core plywoods are available to special order.
