In trying to replace the traditional incandescent A-shaped bulbs,
developers including Photonics Ltd have developed the A*9 light
bulb using LED technology. The main reason why many have chosen LED
bulbs over incandescent bulbs is simply because of the direct
comparison of performance and efficiency of the two technologies.
With the LED A*9 bulb customers will benefit from the energy
efficiency, long lasting, high quality without sacrificing reduced
brightness or poor light distribution in a domestic or commercial
environment.
Photonics offers two types of A*9 light bulbs, a Directional A*9
and an Omni-Directional LED A*9. If there was an adverse reason not
to consider LED against incandescent, it would have been because
LED traditionally been best suited for directional lighting often
limiting LED lamps to a down light effect only, but with the new
Omni-Directional feature, LED lighting can now emit in all
directions like the incandescent bulb.
The directional type of bulb can be described as down light type
effect, meaning the light will emit in a limited direction so is
most effective where a down light source is desired.
The Omni-directional bulb is a type of bulb that has recently been
developed and introduced into the market, and is an ideal direct
replacement for traditional incandescent A*9 bulbs, as the beam
pattern is very similar if not identical, so like the incandescent
bulb the light will go in all directions.
Photonics offers the A*9 bulb with multiple specification, so
depending on personal preference our bulb can perform with a lumen
output of **0 to **0 depending on the customer’s desire of input
power and colour temperature.
Photonics guarantees a life span of up to *5.**0 hours, but this
doesn’t mean that after this stated period that the product will
fail, it means that after this length of time the A*9 bulb is not
guaranteed to produce the same lumen output as it would at *0,**0
hours or *5,**0 hours. Some people are misled when a product claims
to have a life span of over *0,**0 hours, yes the product may work
up to and beyond *0,**0 hours, but the question is after this
period of time, what is the lumen output?
