Description

Introduction

Flurine fluoroelastomer (*6 series) is copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluorpropene. The content of fluorine is *6% by weight.
Fluoroelastomer is odorless, nontoxic, incombustible (self-extinguishing) and recognized as special rubber due to its              outstanding performance in high temperature and extremely corrosive environments. It can be molded, extruded or injected into rubber products, such as O-rings, gaskets, seals and diaphragms as well as hoses, rolls etc. The application has been expanded to many industries, especially in the automotive, appliance, petroleum and chemical fields.

Valuable features of Flurine

Resistance to temperature extremes: Fluoroelastomer is better than most other elastomer in the heat and temperature resistance. “**-type” fluoroelastomer is serviceable long-term at **0°C and short term at **0°C;

Resistance to degradation by various fluids and chemicals:Excellent resistance to organic fluids (fuel oil, dissolvent, hydraulic pressure medium, etc), strong acid(nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid), high strength hydrogen peroxide and other strong oxidant;

Resistance to Compression set：Fluoroelastomer exhibits a good resistance to compression set even at high temperatures. “**-type” is better than other fluorine rubbers on this feature;

Fire retardance: Fluoroelastomer is more resistance to burning than other rubbers. It is self-extinguishing when leaving fireï¼›

High vacuum resistance:Flurine rubber has excellent high vacuum resistance, it is an important rubber material used in space craft.

Precaution for the processing and storage of fluoroelastomer

1.Precaution for safety：Fluoroelastomer gum has good thermal stability below***0Cand will decompose a little if located under the temperature of ******0℃for a long time，the main contents of the gas decomposed are toxic fluorine hydride and fluorocarbon; When the temperature is above**0℃, the decomposition will be quickened；

2.Precaution for processing：During the processing, it should avoid compounding gum with metal powder or amines (content more than *0%), otherwise violent reaction will occur. Fluoroelastomer will release a little toxic gas such as fluorine hydride and fluorine acid during vulcanization，so good ventilation in the processing place is very important. Smoking is prohibited in work area. Please wash your face and hands carefully when you leave the working area.

3.Precaution for storage：Fluoroelastomer should be stored in clean, cool and dry place because it is sensitive to water and light
