Description

Rape - vidtravyanistyh plants of the genus Brassica cabbage family (Brassicaceae). Important oil plant ; economic importance of rape by the end of the XX century has increased substantially due to the fact that it began to be used to produce biodiesel.

Used for the production of oil. Rapeseed oil is used in cooking , for the manufacture of margarine, in metallurgical, soap , leather and textile industries . Bagasse contains ( in % ) a protein of about *2, 9, fat , nitrogen-free extractives *0 % ; a valuable concentrated feed for cattle after removal of harmful glycosides. Rapeseed meal used in animal food as a basis for various animal feed and premixes .

Due to the trend of rising prices for fossil fuels production of biodiesel from vegetable oils (including rapeseed ) is becoming more attractive .
