REACH is for the EU regulations concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) which is mainly to protect human health and the environment from dangerous chemicals . REACH has established a registration of  chemicals traceability and identification of products (chemicals, special chemicals or preparations). And the parties involved need to submit some relevant documents to the EU Chemical Authority (ECHA). REACH will not only affect the manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and those who export to the EU market or importers who launch products. The unregistered chemicals will be strictly prohibited in the EU market, nor production, import or use.
The directive mainly include registration, evaluation, authorization and restrictions etc major content.
The challenge and things needed to know :
- How is your products,the chemicals and its quantity ?
- What chemical substances will be released from the products, and what potential risks would have on human health and environment? Whether the product contains carcinogenic, mutagenic or CMR as well as the aquatic organisms (R**-R*3)?
- The retailers and importers should ask suppliers and manufacturers to ensure REACH approval.

The main contents of REACH
1) Registration:the whole existing and new chemicals as well as the variety of chemicals of annual out-put over 1 ton are all required to register the basic information or the products and chemicals of annual out-put equal to or *0 tons more are required to do chemical safety assessment and safety report.
2) Evaluation: it includes document and material evaluation
3) Authorization: the chemicals which has certain risk characteristics and cause people to attention should be licensed and authorised, including the CMR (category 1 or 2 carcinogens, inducing gene mutations or hazardous substances for reproduction) , PBT (persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic substances), vPvB (very persistent, high bioaccumulative substances),etc..
4) Restriction: If the risk to human health and environment by production itself and markt flow ,usage can not be well controlled as well as indicated on common level , Commission or Member States shall submit  the relevant file and the risk assessment committee and the social - economic analysis of the Commission will state the view of the proposed restriction considering  the relevant parts of the file eventually  the European Commission make the final decision under the relevant procedural.
