Hycellu-CMC hemostatic gauze is a white or light yellow knitted fabric with uniform color and soft textile. It can quickly absorb water of exudates from wound surface to form viscous gel. It is effective in immediate hemostasis, protecting wound site and accelerating healing for trauma and post operational wound.

Hemostatic mechanisms

Hycellu-CMC stops bleeding through three hemostatic mechanisms which are physical, chemical and physiological. When Hycellu-CMC Hemostatic Gauze comes in contact with the bleeding site, it can quickly absorb water contents of exudates to form gelatinous mass, which fill wound voids, seal capillary ends, and thereby help stop bleeding in physical way. Negative ions in the gauze can attract mass platelet and red blood cell, which accelerate the formation of microthrombus, thus to stop bleeding in chemical way. Hycelllu-CMC activate intrinsic hemostatic system, which realize physiological hemostasis.

Indications

Hycellu-CMC Soluble Hemostatic Gauze is indicated in the control of disseminated hemorrhage, capillary and small vessels hemorrhage when ligation, electrical coagulation or other conventional methods are impractical or ineffective. It is indicated for vaginal and cervical hemorrhage, nasal and sinus mucosal bleeding, and topical bleeding of injured body surface.

Clinical experience over a ten-year period has demonstrated the efficacy of Hycellu-CMC in time-to-hemostasis, reduced blood loss and material biocompatibility. It has no toxicity or other adverse effects.
