Description
Hycellu-SLK is a water-soluble, bioresorbable, animal-free
hemostatic matrix which resembles traditional gauze. It can be used
for internal surgeries. It meets all international standard
biocompatibility criteria for prolonged-use implant materials. Also
can be used for body surface, like wounds and burns, it is the
perfect choice to stop any surgical bleeding.
This is not just another ORC product, Hycellu-SLK is etherized
oxidized regenerated cellulose. This proprietary step makes it **0%
water soluble, unlike all competitor regenerated cellulose
products.
Hycellu-SLK Absorbable Hemostat is indicated for surgical
procedures to assist in the control of capillary, venous, and small
arterial hemorrhage. It can be used in neurosurgery, thoracic
surgery, abdominal and gastro-intestinal surgery, plastic surgery,
burn treatment, oral maxillofacial surgery, ENT surgery, obstetric
and gynecologic surgery, colon-rectal surgery, circumcision,
vascular surgery, ulcer wounds and other general surgeries.
Clinical experience over a ten-year period has demonstrated the
efficacy of Hycellu-SLK in time-to-hemostasis, reduced blood loss
and material resorption time with no toxicity or other adverse
effects.
How Hycellu-SLK Works
When applied during a surgical procedure, Hycellu-SLK quickly
absorbs blood and exudates, transforms into a gel to seal the wound
with a protective transparent layer, actively aids in blood
coagulation, and creates an environment for wound healing. The
clear gel facilitates monitoring of hemostasis.
