RISUN ****0T 
Chemical Composition, Low Monol silyl terminated Polyether with trifunctional methoxy groups.

This is a low monol STPP hybrid polymer based on polyether of approx ****0 MW. The shore A hardness of the resin cured with DBTDL is approx *0. 

The resin is designed to be used with DIDP plasticizer and precipitated calcium carbonate to formulate construction and other joint sealants with shore A hardness in the range of *5 to *5. 

The trifunctional methoxy groups can be catalyzed to cross link with various chemicals that are well known, however extra vinyl silane needs to be added in compounding, and the use on methanol can further retard the cross linking reaction when used in thick walled HDPE cartridges. 

The advantage of the STP resin with very low monol polyether is that a high level of DBTDL plasticizer can be added, and the sealant cures with no residual surface tack. 

Use epoxy silanes and secondary amino silanes for superior adhesion as construction sealants. 

Application: 

The main requirements for exterior sealants are: 

Low modulus even at low temperatures 
Excellent UV resistance 
High colour stability and no colour change 
Good adhesion to porous and non-porous substrates 
High tear resistance 
Paint ability when needed 
Resistance to cleaning procedures 
Bubble free Curing 
No surface tack that gathers dust and dirt 

Hybrid sealants based on Risun ****0T meet the above requirements. 

Risun Polymer for Adhesive requirements 

Adhesives for hard floors such as sports arenas require: 

High mechanical strength and recovery 
High vibration resistance 
Good chemical resistance 
Excellent adhesion properties 
Moisture resistance 

Hard sports surfaces such as these are placed on concrete slabs and the products required are: 
Moisture resistant membrane based on Risun ****0T 
Adhesive layer based on Risun ****0T 
Expansion joints in the wood floor based on above construction sealant. 

RISUN ****0T POLYMER ADVANTAGES: 

Softest long chain polyether for lower shore A sealants with high movement capacity to *0% ASTM standards. 

Enables bubble free curing at normal temperature & humidity levels. 

Formulations have excellent adhesion to porous stone and concrete panels. 

Excellent adhesion to aluminium with no primers and a wash with green dimethyl carbonate solvent is enough. 

Risun ****0T can be used to make a crystal water clear sealant where expensive stone is used. 

Sealant formulations can use the cheaper PPC fillers now available to make thick sealant. 

Sealants are solvent and isocyanate free and safer for tradesman and DIY consumers. 

Sealants can be made in the factory with maximum mixer temperatures of *0 degree C and low energy use. 

The trifunctional polymer is catalysed with low levels of tin containing chemical like DOTL or DBTDL. 

No hazard warning labels on the sealant product when displayed in retail stores.
