At present?domestic FUO-FLO Pressure Controlled Multi-Circulating Valve (hereinafter referred to as OMNI Circulating Valve) is mostly used in acidifying and fracturing. There are two varieties: The first is a multi-open operation circulating valve which depends on applying the annulus pressure to open and spring power to restore.  Although it can be opened and closed many times, the pressure for opening and closing is not a fixed value and it requires a small difference pressure between the inside of drill stem and the annulus, otherwise circulation port will have a trend to open automatically. For example: draining, pumping operations, the circulation port will open automatically. The other is multi-cycle reversing circulating valve of Johnston which depends on applying pressure inside the drilling string to operate the tool. It demands that the pressure inside the drill stem should be set above ***0psi. You must drain away the air in the drill stem and make it full of service medium when running the tool. Its application is limited because of the complicated operation. 
The OMNI circulating valve is an annulus pressure operated, multi-open operation circulating valve. It is designed for use in full opening formation testing, tubing conveyed perforating, DST/TCP, cycle operation in cased hole. It overcame the shortcomings of domestic multi-cycle reversing circulating valve. At a certain position, you can apply the annulus pressure to operate other downhole tools many times and there is no influence upon the OMNI circulating valve. Because of the ability of multiple open and close, it can carry on stimulation treatment, such as acidification, fracturing after finishing the full-opening formation test. Using the valve can make the test program simple and can reduce the reconnoitering cost greatly.
