The characteristics of Silicon nitride are with high purity, the even distribution of the particles, which are larger than the surface area, that make it easier to apply sintering onto the surface to form a uniform barrier layer with high reliability. The silicon nitride insulation has the resistance to high-temperature, and has great barrier effect to block those trace elements, oxygen, carbon and etc. After coating with Silicon nitride, the silicon substance and the crucible are easily separated from one another, which would improve the re-utilization of quartz crucible and result in a significant reduction in the production cost.
