Applications
Acrylic Acid is used to make other acrylic esters which are chiefly
used as comonomers in making acrylic and modacrylic fibres. Acrylic
Acid is a monomer for the polymerization to make of polyacrylic and
polymethacrylic acids. It is used in making water soluble resins (
Super Absorbent Polymers). It is used as a cross linking agent. It
is used in making dispersions for paints, inks, and adhesives. It
is used in making aqueous dispersions for textiles and papers. It
is used as a chemical intermediate for the synthesis organic
compounds.
