Magnesium nitrate hexahydrate is colorless crystal of monoclinic system. It is soluble in water easily and is able to dissolve in methanol and alcohol. Mainly used in concentrated nitric acid as dehydrator , in producing explosives, catalysts and other magnesium salts.
