Description
We currently offer two standard high
mast lighting poles of *5 meters and *0 meters. Other heights are
built to specification. Our standard high mast poles are adaptable
to raising and lowering or fixed mounting devices. Optional: we
supply our high mast poles with Schreder mounting devices or
comparable non-branded devices.
High Mast Lighting enables large areas to be illuminated
without numerous lighting columns which, under
certain circumstances, can be a hazard to the
movement of traffic. This is possible because the system
achieves very large space to height ratios.
High Mast Lighting is suitable for many areas
not least of all, complicated or multi-level road
systems, industrial or commercial areas, docks,
airports, stations, car parks and even zoned areas. All of
which require the best possible lighting with a minimum
of interference from the installation itself.
EASE OF
INSTALLATION
High-Mast.com High Mast Systems have
been designed over many years to ease the burden of
installation. With the experience of hundreds of installations, we
have the knowledge and expertise
required to make installing our systems as pain free as possible.
We have a dedicated installation team
to carry out new installations as well as full or part
refurbishments.
SINGLE DRUM WINCH
SYSTEM
In the single drum winch system, a winch cable is
attached to two suspension ropes which raise and
lower the lantern carriage. 6mm stainless steel wire
ropes are used to suspend and hold the carriage in
place.
DOUBLE DRUM WINCH
SYSTEM
For heavier loads, a double drum winch is required.
Although the gearbox and drum are separate entities
they are driven by a single input shaft that can drive
both drums or just one drum by using the adjusting
handle supplied.
POWER
OPERATION
Both single drum and double drum
systems are
easily operated using a power tool. A manual
winding handle can be used for backup or for
final adjustments.
Safety is ensured as the winch gearbox has a
*0:1 ratio, which in itself provides protection
against the winch winding under pressure. As
an extra precaution, the winch has a gravity
catch which also prevents involuntary winding
when the winch is stationary making it
impossible for the winch to unwind in error.
As a further precaution, the power tool
provided is operated from minimum 5M away
from the base of the mast using a wired remote
control station.
