Description

Semi-hard cheese produced under Vardenis trademark when made from cow milk and Tomme when made from goat milk. This cheese is covered with white molding of Pencillium Candidum, which creates the specific taste and aroma of the cheese. It has a pliable consistency, with some small holes. The color ranges from pale yellow to pale brown. It matures in 1.5 months and is packaged in wicker baskets. After six months, the taste and the aroma of the cheese become more distinctive; such cheese is more popular among connoisseurs. It is shaped in **5 cm thick disks with a diameter of *0 cm. The weight is 1.8 to 2.2 kg.
