Jun Porcelain originated in the town of Shenhou, Yuzhou City, Henan Province and is one of the five famous porcelains of China. Historically, only the nobility of the Imperial Palace enjoyed the beauty of China Jun Porcelain. During the Song Dynasty it was said that "the gold can be valued but the fine art is priceless and it is better to own one piece of Jun Porcelain than anything else". Jun Porcelain is famous for its unique and aesthetically pleasing qualities, which are produced in the kiln firing process. Each piece portrays a unique glazing color and design. Chinese craftsmen from ages past said that enters the kiln is nothing, but what comes out of the kiln contains magical beauty beyond description.
