The system is made up by the following components:

The explosion proof cabin has been certificated by DNV (Det Norske
Veritas). The software system runs under network platform, finishes
the functions of data acquisition, treating, storing and
output.
Data acquisition computer deal with the signals from the CAN bus;
gas detector deal with the chromatogram analysis signal; all the
data are stored by the server, and about *0 relative parameters are
got, such as gas, engineering, drilling liquid and geological
aspect. More than **0 parameters are derived from those *0
ones.
Real-time monitoring system, intellectualized warning system,
application software can run on any one of the computers. Real-time
reports, curves and data explanation charts are output by color
printers; voice prompt and alarm will be given by multimedia
system.
Main Features:
1. The core of gas detector is embedded computer. Analysis cycle is
*0s. Using program controlled amplification and gas flow control
technology to deal with chromatogram signal and judge chromatogram
peak automatically; real time monitor the work condition of the gas
detector.
2. The intellectualized warning expert system can analyze and
forecast accidents in real time. Thus reduces the downhole
accidents and makes the drilling task safer.
3. The software system runs under Windows XP OS and efficient
network. The whole mud logging unit interface is built using
windows technology.
4. The sensor signal is transferred through CAN bus, and normal mud
logging sensor can be connected. Private sensors of CAN bus is not
necessary.
