Updated drill for the perforation of wooden sleepers, driven by an internal combustion engine, thanks to its lightness and ease of handling it is ideal to work in every condition. The internal combustion engine renders it usable also where other power sources are not available: electric power, compressed air, hydraulic generators. The machine is equipped with a telescopic type protection with forced return in order to always guarantee the correct covering of the bit. Furthermore on the protection there are slots for correct evacuation of chips without exposing the operator to the risk of contact with the drill bit. The innovative design of the handle-bar, equipped with 4 vibration dampers which absorb both the high frequency and the low frequency vibrations allow to remarkably reduce the risks of the operators. The FTP_*1 sleeper drilling machine is equipped with: - fast-acting drill bit release device; - safety device preventing machine rotation following sudden blocking of the drill bit; - centrifugal clutch; - drilling depth gauge with graduated scale; - mobile trolley available for support and use on tracks.
