A selective systemic herbicide widely used for the control of broad-leaved weeds in cereals crops, grassland and turf. Widely used in mixtures with other herbicides to provide weed control in forestry, orchards and non-crop areas. Selective systemic herbicide. Its salts are readily absorbed by the roots, whilst esters are readily absorbed by the foliage. Translocation occurs, with accumulation principally at the meristematic regions of shoots and roots.
