Chalford stairwell guards are used by many of the leading national house builders to assist with site safety. They are extremely quick and easy to install around open stairwells when operatives are working in the immediate risk area. Simply screw through the holes in the floor plate. Drop in and screw through 3” x 2” timber for the top board and knee board. The lower can be the same timber or a scaffold board. The lower timber / board helps prevent objects being kicked down to a lower level, a common cause of site accidents. Chalford Stairwell Guards can also be used to corden off areas around machines or other items of equipment, to ensure they are given protection from forklifts and other vehicles.
