Normal Solar Charge Controller: Solar Panel works at point A state, the solar panel working voltage is a little higher than battery voltage. Charge Voltage: UA=*3.2V Charge Current:: IA=9.8A Charge Power: PA=*3.2*9.8=**9.*6w MPPT Solar Charge Controller: Solar Panel works at point B state; the solar panel working voltage is much higher than battery voltage. Charge Voltage: UB=*8.4V, Charge Current:: IB=9.3A Charge Power: PB=*8.4*9.3=**1.*2w Comparison: The power B is higher than power ***** â–³P/ PA =ï&frac*4;ˆPB— PAï&frac*4;‰/ PAï&frac*4;*****3% As the related factors of solar system varies, such as the manufacture of solar panels, solar illumination intensity, environment temperature, efficiency of solar charge controller and so on, the actual power increase could be at ****0%. Choose the model: Solar Panel: *2V solar system should use *0pcs cells laminated solar panel. The maximum power point voltage is *8V above. *4V solar system should use 2pcs above mentioned solar panels. *8V solar system should use 4pcs above-mentioned solar panels. Wires: The wires between solar panel with MPPT solar charge controller should be calculated according to the standard at 1mm² to 1 Ampere. Solar Charge Controller: JUTA brand MPPT**0 Model solar charge controller Rated input Ampere is *0A. We have *2V, *4V and *8V three kinds of MPPT solar charge controllers. Fit for power of solar panels: *0~**0Wp(*2V), *0~**0Wp(*4V), *****0Wp(*8V). Connection: (As indicated in Picture 3) 1) Connect the "+", "-" poles of the battery to the controller (3, 4 from left) firmly and correctly. The LOAD green LED is supposed to be on if the connection is right and controller is in good condition. If the LOAD green LED is not on, please check if the polarities of battery connected correctly. Only the connection could be preceded if the LOAD green LED is on. 1. Connect the "+", "-" poles of the solar panel to the controller (1, 2 from the left) firmly and correctly. 2. Connect the "+", "-" poles of the LOAD to the controller (5, 6 from the left) firmly and correctly. Simply Measure Method: For *2V system, measure the input voltage from solar panel with multi-meter (terminal 1, 2 of controller), it is normal if the voltage of solar panel more than battery voltage 0.**6V. Generally, the higher input voltage, the better charge efficiency. For *4v and *8V system, the input voltage will be much higher than battery voltage (Note: It is normal if the controller can not find Maximum Power Point within *0 minutes from system start.) Indicator: 1. It indicates that there is output and load could work properly if the Load light (green) is on, if it’s off, it indicates there is not output, load can not work. 2. It indicates that the voltage of battery is low if the Low Voltage Indicator (red) is on, and the load could not work properly. This is normal phenomenon. When the battery voltage recovers to *2.6V or (*5.2v), the Load will be automatically working, at this time the indicator is off. 3. Charge Indicator, red, bright indicate the battery needs to charge, flickering means float charging, off means charge has stop. RESET Button: The rated output current of this MPPT solar charge controller is *0A, if there is short circuit or overload, the MPPT controller will switch off the output. (Load indicator off, Low voltage indicator off.) If you need the MPPT controller recover work, please check the reasons and clear out the fault firstly. Then put a small stick such as toothpick, ball-pen tip inside the RESET hole, and press RESET button. Attention: 1. Please check the rated voltage of the solar panel, battery, load are all the same with *2V or *4V or *8V. 2. Please pay attention to connection, do not connect the "+" "-"poles of battery and solar panels wrong. (Wrong connection will burn your MPPT controller) 3. Battery must be connected to the controller first, then the solar panels and load. To dissemble the system, Solar Panels must be removed first, then cut off the battery. 4. The rated current of solar panel and load must be less than MPPT controller’s rated current.
