1 series: Features more than 99.00% aluminum, good electrical conductivity, good corrosion resistance, good welding performance, low strength, can not be strengthened by heat treatment;
Series 2: Aluminum alloy with copper as the main element. Manganese, magnesium, lead and bismuth are also added for machinability;
3 series: Aluminum alloy with manganese as the main alloying element, can not be strengthened by heat treatment, good corrosion resistance, good weldability;
4 series: characterized by silicon, not commonly used. Some 4 series alloys can be strengthened by heat treatment, but some 4 series alloys cannot be heat-treated.
5 series: mainly characterized by magnesium. Good resistance, good welding performance, good fatigue strength, can not be strengthened by heat treatment, only cold processing to improve strength;
6 series: mainly characterized by magnesium and silicon. Mg2Si is the main strengthening phase and the most widely used alloy at present. 6063 and 6061 are used most;
7 series: characterized by zinc, but sometimes a small amount of magnesium, copper. Among them, the superhard aluminum alloy contains zinc, lead, magnesium and copper alloys close to the hardness of steel. The extrusion speed is slower than that of 6 series alloy, and the welding performance is better.
8 series: The more commonly used is 8011 aluminum sheet, which belongs to other series. It is an aluminum plate with the main function of making bottle caps, and it is also used in radiators, most of which are aluminum foil. In business is less commonly used series.
