Why we need proofing baskets?
These cane banneton or proving baskets are perfect for the keen baker. The ridge in the basket become imprinted in the dough as it rises, giving your bread a traditional artisan look. They can also be used as a decorative way to store your bread or rolls once they've been baked.
Banneton baskets come in lots of shapes and sizes to suit the requirement of the baker, allowing for lots of creativity. We produce them from first class rattan core material, thick between **9 mm in diameter. Baskets are durable and easy to clean.
Use procedure:
1. Clean and dry the basket, coated thinly and evenly with flour
along inside of the basket
2. Put a piece of dough into the rattan basket till it completely
fermented to fit the basket
3. The pattern of the rattan cane basket clearly imprint on the
fermented dough, beautiful bread mould formed.
4. Turn over the basket, take out of the dough, and transfer it onto a baking sheet of oven.
5. Bake the bread, clean the basket or set another dough into it,
repeat the above procedure.

Brotform Style Bread Proofing BasketAlso known as a banneton, this proofing basket is a favorite of artisan bakers for raising bread dough. The basket coils provide a beautiful shape and decor for a traditional hearth loaf look.
This basket is exceptionally well made in Europe of the highest quality natural materials.
Dust the proofing basket with flour and the risen dough drops easily onto your baking surface. For proofing very wet doughs, as called for with the popular no knead bread recipes, for example, the optional cloth liner (see below) is the simplest solution. Working flour (rice flour is particularly effective) into the cloth liner will release wet dough.
Cleaning the Brotform proofing basket is usually just a matter of tapping it on the edge of your kitchen sink. If necessary, rinse it out with hot water with your faucet in spray mode. Shake off excess water and place upside down over still warm oven to dry quickly. Dont use soap.
