10. Material handling:

PA (nylon) materials must be properly dried in order to provide parts with optimum strength and toughness, nylon materials are hygroscopic and will become degraded by excessive moisture during the injection molding process
Products are supplied in moisture-protected containers and drying prior to molding is not required, if drying becomes necessary, dehumidifying or desiccant dryer operating at *0°C is recommended, drying time is dependent on moisture level, but **6 hours is generally sufficient Make sure final moisture content must be less than 0.2%

• Typical profile:

Melt temperature: **0 to **0°C
Mold temperature: *0 to *0°C, but temperatures of as low as *5°C and as high as **5°C can be used where applicable
Injection pressure: ****0MPa

• Fill rate:

Fast fill rates are recommended to ensure uniform melt delivery to cavity and prevent premature freezing
Surface appearance is directly affected by injection rate

DURACON® is a crystalline thermoplastic acetal copolymer. The primary raw material trioxane, a trimer of formaldehyde.

The thermoplastic adopts a copolymer structure in which polyoxymethylene (-C-O) and carbon-carbon (-C-C- bond) comonomer groups are incorporated into its main chain. Therefore the copolymer has superior chemical and thermal stability, compared with acetal homopolymer.

Acetal co-polymer is well-balanced in terms of mechanical, chemical and thermal properties, and its superior moldability allows it to be widely employed in various industrial fields
