Descripción del producto

Propylene glycol scientific name "1, *-propylene glycol". The chemical formula CH3CHOHCH2OH. The molecular weight is *6.*0. We have a chiral carbon atom in the molecule. Racemate is an easy hygroscopic viscous liquid, slightly spicy. Specific gravity 1.**6(*5/4℃), freezing point **9℃. Boiling point **8.2℃, *3.2℃(1,**3 paras), Chemicalbook soluble in water, acetone, ethyl acetate and chloroform, soluble in ether. Soluble in many essential oils, but not miscible with petroleum ether, paraffin and grease. It is more stable to heat and light, and more stable at low temperature. The boiling point of the levoid is **7 ~ **9℃, and the specific rotation [α]D****5.0°. At high temperature, propylene glycol can be oxidized to propanal, lactic acid, pyruvate and acetic acid.
