Paraffin wax, also Commonly called 'paraffin', is a colourless or white, tasteless, odourless, translucent waxy solid. Paraffin wax has a typical melting point between about 46°C and 68°C. Paraffin wax  is a mixture of advanced alkanes in the solid state. The molecular formula of the main component is CnH2n+2, where n=17~35.
