What is carbomer?

What is Carbomer **0?
Carbomer **0 is used to increase viscosity. It is also a gelling agent or suspending agent, a polyvinyl carboxyl polymer. Carbomer **0 is cross-linked with pentaerythritol ether and is mainly used in systems that require foaming transparency or sharp viscosity response. Carbomer **0 powder can also be used to thicken surfactant systems and make suspension products. It is excellent when you need to suspend heavy particles. When applied to formulations, it has excellent softness and slip properties compared to ethylene glycol.

It has excellent low viscosity emulsion and suspension stability. It is recommended for various applications in personal care, including clear gels, hydroalcoholic gels and lotions.
