1. ABOUT SOAP(Legend of soap):

They took the greasy ash out of the kitchen and threw it away, and then returned to the basin to wash their hands. Question 1. How is handmade soap made?

Hand soap is the result of saponification reaction between oil and lye. Commonly used oils include olive oil, palm oil and coconut oil. Lye usually has an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and lithium hydroxide.

4. HANDMADE SOAP AND INDUSTRIAL SOAP:

In the production process of handmade soap and industrial soap, fatty acid sodium is produced by saponification reaction between fatty acid and sodium hydroxide, but there are many kinds of fatty acids, which can be divided into saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids. The former is such as lard and butter, while the latter is olive oil, coconut oil and so on. It is fatty acid sodium that plays a role in washing away stains in soap.

Therefore, the quality of fatty acid sodium is directly related to the decontamination ability of soap. In actual production, the formula of soap (soap) is often very complex. The raw materials used are mixtures of several or even more than a dozen fatty acids in order to obtain better decontamination effect and skin contact feeling.

 

5. DECONTAMINATION OF SOAP:

Generally, dirt is composed of minerals (dust) and organic matter (oil). It is tightly absorbed on clothing fibers, and when contaminated clothing is placed in soap solution, because soap has surface activity, it can reduce the surface tension of the interface (dirt and fiber), and produce the functions of wetting, permeating, emulsifying and dispersing foam. Soap liquid is a good wetting agent, it can penetrate deep into the fabric, fiber and dirt particles, and the water is inaccessible. , so that the fiber expands, so that the adsorption force of dirt and fiber is relaxed and separated. It falls off under mechanical stirring and is emulsified and transferred into water. When the soap solution reaches a certain concentration, the outer layer of dirt is wrapped with a firm and elastic soap film, so that the dirt does not return to the clothes. After rinsing, it can achieve the function of decontamination.

 

6. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOAP AND DETEGRENT:

1. Different raw materials. Soap is made of natural animal and vegetable oil and caustic soda, while synthetic detergent is made of synthetic raw materials.

2. Different hydrolysis. No matter how carefully soap is made, once it is dissolved in water, it will be partially hydrolyzed and alkaline, while synthetic detergent will not hydrolyze and become neutral.

3. Different hard water resistance. Soap is not resistant to hard water, and synthetic detergent can also produce satisfactory washing effect in hard water.

4. Different security. Soap is safe and non-toxic, while some synthetic detergents are toxic.
