The desmear is Used for multilayer
PCB making after lamination. Since the high temperature over
the prepreg caused by the drilling ,it could form a molten state,
resulting in a slag. It is needed to through the desmear
treatment before hole metallization.
Purpose: Remove molten slag due to
high temperature during drilling, to expose the copper rings that
need to be interconnected in each layer and enhance the bonding
strength between the hole wall and copper.
In addition, the sweller can
improve the structure of the hole wall and enhance the adhesion
of the plated copper.
