A leading Dutch shipbuilder has expressed interest in the shipyard facility of nancially troubled Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines (HHIC-Phil Inc.) in Subic, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said.

Maritime to triple contribution to economy
The Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) has projected an exponential growth in the maritime industry’s contribution to the Philippine economy, with the implementation of the **-year maritime industry development plan (MIDP).
