Weishaupt Gas Burner G7/*-D version ZD (can be converted to ZMD modulating version)

Burner Design:
- Forced draft automatic gas burner (can be converted to dual fuel burner on request)
- Cast aluminium, hinged monobloc design
- Burner swings open to the left or right 
- Stainless steel flame tube capable of withstanding temperatures up to ***0°F.
- Flame tube is a one piece construction.
- Diffuser, ignition electrodes and gas mixing assembly are easily accessible and can be      removed without removing the burner.
- Removable top cover for ease of service.
- Finished high-gloss, baked enamel coating.
- A permanent observation port is provided to permit observation of the flame.
- Precision cam arrangement controls the fuel and combustion air
- Single servomotor drives the cam arrangement and controls the individual set point for:
1) High fire position gas/oil
2) Air damper closed
3) Ignition position gas
4) Low fire position gas
5) Stage 2 oil solenoid (GL dual fuel burner, light oil and gas)
6) Low fire position gas/oil (GL dual fuel burner, light oil and gas)
- All servomotor micro switches are independently adjustable to any setting from fully closed 0% to fully open at **0%.
- The air/fuel ratio can be adjusted at several points between low and high fire, precisely controlling the air/fuel ratio.
- The air damper drives to the fully closed position during off cycles to prevent standby losses (position can be adjusted if post-purge or continuous run is required).
- The gas butterfly valve is an integral part of the burner, mounted directly on the burner housing. The butterfly valve is spring loaded to fully close the valve, if the drive linkage is dsiconnected. 
- The burner is equipped with high-efficiency, maintenance free blower motor.
- The motor can be started via star-delta. The combustion air fan is dynamically balanced.
- Weishaupt burners are certified to the international standards ISO ***1.

Burner version and capacity regulation:
- Low/High/Low version ZD controlled by a servomotor with a running time of 8 seconds. 

Can be converted to modulating, ZMD verison:
Depending on the requirement of the customer, we can provide the burner with modulating operation (modulating gas and modulating oil, ZMD version) controlled by a servomotor with a running time of *2 seconds.

Description of Operation

Weishaupt gas burners (G model) supplied in the version ZD provide a rapid change from low fire to high fire via the 8 seconds servomotor. The cam arrangement controls the air damper and the gas butterfly throughout the firing range. 

Burner supplied in the version ZMD provide a slow change from low fire to high fire via the *2 seconds servomotor. The cam arrangement controls the air damper and the gas butterfly throughout the firing range. 

Ignition position
Gas and dual-fuel (light oil & gas) burners provide an independent ignition position, in addition to the low fire position, when firing on gas.

Flame monitoring system
- Flame rod (for gas burners)
- QRA2 UV sensor (for combination gas/oil burner)

Flame monitoring system (LFL1...)

The burner flame monitor sequences and controls the operation of the burner automatically. The flame monitor can be located in either the burner control panel or mounted directly on the burner. The standard flame monitoring system used is manufactured by Landis & Gyr. (Alternative flame monitoring systems can be made available upon request).

Magnetic clutch (only available in GL and RGL burners)
Magnetic clutch is the coupling between the oil pump and the motor shaft which automatically disconnects when operating on gas, protecting the pump from unnecessary wear.  

Burner gas train is supplied with the following accessories:

Scope of supply 
- Burner casing, hinged flange, sight glass, Weishaupt burner motor, air damper, fan, air pressure switch, servomotor, cam, combustion head, ignition transformer cable and electrodes, terminal strip, flange gasket, mounting kit.
- Hinged interlock switch
- Burner control LFL
- Flame monitoring (flame rod / UV sensor, depending on the burner fuel system)
- Oil pump, solenoid valves, nozzle(s) oil hoses (dual, or oil burners only)
- Oil/air adjustment cam (dual, or oil burners only)
- Oil pressure switch (in return line) (dual, or oil burners only)
- Magnetic clutch (standard on RGL burners, optional on GL except size 9)
