What is an Intravenous Catheter made up of?
•  The IV catheters are usually made from man made polymers called
•  PTFE (poly tetra fluoro ethylene)
•  PUR (polyurethane)
•  At present Kezar is manufacturing IV catheters withboth these variants. PUR is gradually replacing PTFE as  the material of choice.
